This weekend at the Kent Heritage festival I was fortunate enough to meet one of the 140 various vendors that works with beach glass and rocks - from Cleveland. I thought this was such an awe-inspiring concept having recently read a blog about beach glass for weddings that was actually edible.
Kimberly Monaco Designs of Lakewood works with all sorts of materials from metals, beach glass and also beach stone that she collects from the shores of Lake Erie. Kimberly summed it up best herself talking of walks that she enjoys with her grandson on the shores. Many of the stones also come from the collection her grandson accumulated for her that were found upon return home from their trips in his pockets.
Kimberly also does a lot of work with found objects, such as this antique skeleton key that she found on a trip to Amish country at a tag sale.
