There could never be enough stores that sell denim, could there? Well that's what many residents are rumbling about in Columbus' Short North neighborhood and wondering about the two stores that soon be opening across the road from one another in April (tentatively according to ColumbusUnderground). Some may call it a little friendly competition, others comment that they serve different clients, and some say the mud slinging has already started before doors are opened.
The Voodoo Denim Lounge opened March 18th and specializes in "premium denim, and all sorts of cool gear" according to their Facebook page. Voodoo Denim Lounge is locally owned, and with pool tables, chandeliers, red velvet curtains creates a laid-back, rock ambiance. Voodoo Denim Lounge features men's and women's denim from many labels that include: William, Rast, AG, Prvcy, Sky, and Scotch & Soda.

National Jean Company will also be shortly opening in Columbus' Short North neighborhood. National Jean Company has not opened yet to date of this blog but through their website and other news sources I can tell you it is high end ($100+ on many) that also has a wide variety of accessories not just denim but also jewelry, shoes, yoga wear, and much more. National Jean Company is a national company that specializes in Women's fashions 0-12 (after the conversions on the fit chart), this location will be the first in our region of the US. Customers can not only shop in the store, but also their extensive selections online.
